The current situation that has emerged from the Corona virus (COVID-19) poses new challenges for a lot of people. We are now focusing even more on our people and place an extra effort in maintaining good health. We have implemented several measures to reduce the spread of the Corona virus as part of our corporate social responsibility. We will also do everything in our power to help our staff through this time.
Normal operations and implemented guidelines
Our goal is for our operations to continue as normal. All of our employees will at all times follow the routines and guidelines that the Norwegian Authorities have introduced in the work against the virus. This is in addition to specific guidelines received from our customers and partners, and our own rules implemented against the virus.
Delivery/supply of goods and other inquiries
We will do everything in our power to ensure that deliveries take place as previously agreed. Delivery, receipts and supply of goods will follow regular routines. For other inquiries, we encourage all our customers, partners and suppliers to contact us by e-mail or telephone if possible.
Equipment from risk areas
According to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, there is no indication that there is a risk associated with the purchase of goods and receipt of packages from risk areas, except for purchases of live or dead animals. This also applies to packages that have been through risk areas on their way to Norway. Therefore, it is not considered to be any risks of infection from any of our products.
The Norwegian Institute of Public Health is constantly updating an overview of countries and areas that are considered risk areas due to the virus. Our employees are committed to stay updated on this information at all time. Anyone who has been travelling in given areas should be in quarantine for 14 days after returning, regardless of whether they have symptoms or not. All business travels on behalf of Selstad have been postponed for the time being.
At Selstad, we also encourage everyone in the organization to avoid private travelling, and to follow the guidelines of the Norwegian Directorate of Health and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health in the case of necessary travel. We will be part of the joint efforts to prevent the spread of the virus and will work hard to maintain normal operations from all Selstad departments along the Norwegian coast.
Our aquaculture and fishery customers are doing an important job in producing food for the world’s population, and we will do everything in our power to support them so that they are able to maintain their operations in the future.
